The 4th edition of Marakez Pyramids Half Marathon. Where the magnificence of the place was only matched by the high spirits of the participants.
This distinguished sports event was under the supervision of the Egyptian Presidency along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with the delightful presence of his excellency Ashraf Sobhy.
Egyptian President, El Sisi, commended Climate Adventurer Ali Abdo’s efforts to raise awareness around climate challenges.
Abdo had set out on his 20,000 Km journey taking MARAKEZ’s flagship project as the launch point of his trip. Setting off at Mall of Arabia, and making a stop a Mall of Tanta, the Ride to COP27 toured Egyptian governorates to arrive at the global climate summit held in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh, recording a new Guinness World Record for the longest trip on an electric motorbike.
MARAKEZ always seeks to support innovative initiatives and happily fosters pioneering sports that encourage climate efforts.
